Responsibilities

• Read and measure incoming glass accurately with a tape measure
• Handling and inspecting all incoming glass for irregular breaks, scratches and uneven edges
• Review process instructions as per job card and drawings
• Receive instructions from the machine operators
• Read and fill out proper documentation (hard copies and electronically) Observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices or conditions
• Perform continuous checks on the quality of glass and notify the operator if there is any manufacturing defect
• Work effectively with the operator to ensure that you receive the correct job cards and glasses are properly labelled
• Work according to standard operating procedure (SOP)

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• 1 year glass processing experience
